Horrible experience. When arrived at time, a man who spoke only french and hebrew tried to force me to pay 20% more only on shekels. I have to shout with him to pay USD. Before paying I was refused to see the room. The room was so dirty, that a human is not able to sleep in. No tidying, no cleaning, I felt myself booking a room in a whorehouse, and as I think it is. On the blanket was signs of gore. After paying the man disapeared. I left the room it suddenly. Next morning give the key back, but they refuse to refund. That was the worst experince in my life.

I enjoyed most from the fact that the rent manager tried to cheat me on the exchange rate, the credit card payment was not possible ( I heard that the credit card terminal in the office didnt worked for months) and - I had to buy my own towels because when I called the rent manager - he replied that he hasnt got the time to give me a towel (that should have been there in the first place)

It's not a hotel, but an appartment. If you dont arrive on the time they want you to arrive you'll be waiting in front of a closed office at Ben Yehuda 81 for at least 30 minutes. The rooms are simple and dirty. The bed isn't made and the sheets are used. Mold in the shower. A disco is located under in the basement, so dont think you can sleep at all! And, the want you to pay in Shekkels cash, so if you made your reservation in US$ they try to let you pay more but a wrong exchange rate (in there advance). Overall, its NOT worth even $1,-!!!

The room had a kitchenette (which includes microwave) and there was wireless internet.
The place was very hard to find, there was no sign at all. Arrived late, around 9pm and called but was told that the person who spoke English had left and to call back in an hour. The rooms required a passcode to enter and to use the elevator. There was no lobby area, just someone sitting at a cafe outside who will approach you asking if you booked a room at residence 77. If he is not there then you will just have to wait around with all your bags. A/C did not work. No towels were provided.

The central location on Ben Yehuda.
The gentleman that walked me over to the building made the attempt to have me pay cash, although I had already paid by credit card. The room was advertised as a "Studio", however it was a room. The heat did not work.

The staff was very cordial, and the hotel is very centrally located.
The rooms were squalid, there was no soap, and had to ask for toilet paper my 2nd night... the TV did not work on my 2nd night, and there were little "leftovers" from previous visitors (almost-empty soap bottles, scraps of paper on the floor, etc.). I know that 47 euros a night is cheap, but this place was not even worth that. Also, for people who are Sabbath observant (Shomer Shabbat), this place is unusable, due to the electronic code-pad entrance to the building.

I had a fantastic welcome at Gordon Suites - By Gordon Inn, with the staff at the Front Desk being extremely helpful and friendly. They provided me with great directions to nearby restaurants and attractions. The location was perfect for me, just a short 10-minute walk to the beach and town, allowing me to take enjoyable walks around the vibrant neighborhood. The small kitchenette in the room came in handy, especially during Shabbat. I had a positive experience at this hotel.
